Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel

Excellent hotel with exceptional service, especially the customer service. Front desk associate Julia took care of the check in process and got us into our room quickly, and front desk supervisor, Ruby made sure all of our needs were met with a friendly and genuine smile. As a frequent traveler, I highly recommend this hotel.

I would like to leave a heartfelt review for the Renaissance Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. I want to specifically recognize Marlyn for her outstanding customer service. She was absolutely incredible—attentive, compassionate, and genuinely caring in every interaction. Her ability to make a guest feel seen and supported is rare and deeply appreciated. I also want to thank Matthew, the gentleman who checked me in initially. I was going through a very difficult time, and his kindness, patience, and willingness to accommodate me made a meaningful difference. He went above and beyond in a way that will not be forgotten. In addition, Jason was amazing. He helped me with my bags and was unbelievably patient and kind. His calm demeanor and genuine care made everything feel easier during a moment when I truly needed it. Because of Marlyn, Matthew, and Jason, I can confidently say that when I return to New York City, there is only one place I will stay. Thank you to each of you, and thank you to the Renaissance Hotel for such a memorable, comforting, and exceptional experience. This is truly the best place, and this level of service will not be forgotten.

Check in and check out was easy and staff were friendly! Elevators take a second to figure out, but once you get it, it’s easy. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and the bed is extremely comfortable. The view from our room looked towards MSG, making it a convenient location! The only thing that I had an issue with was the door to the room. It was VERY heavy, hard to open and scary to close! And despite being heavy, they keep zero noise out! Everything else was perfect. Room and hotel were clean and smelled great! Definitely a nice hotel for a night in the city, coming from upstate for a show!

everything was perfect, except for this one lady that wouldnt stop yelling while i was trying to get my work done at the hotel library. i think her name was daisy or rosy, but yeah thats something i hope no employee wakes up to. her yelling got so bad i had to finish the rest of my assignment at a starbucks.

Nice hotel with more of a modern loft feel. Service is pleasant and good views of midtown. My main qualm is with the frosted glass sliding bathroom doors in the room, which barely close fully and show a silhouette of everything going on in there if it’s dark in the bedroom. A bit uncomfortable for families or friends traveling together.

From the moment I arrived to the room service experience, everything exceeded expectations. Yes, Manhattan hotel rooms tend to be compact, but this one felt perfectly comfortable, ideal for solo stays or couples. The location is outstanding, right at Pelham Station, with incredible views. A pleasant surprise was discovering a quiet corner behind the lounge bar that worked perfectly for business calls. I really loved the exposed concrete design, it gives the place a modern, urban character. Would happily stay here again!

Good location public transport wise, very good all-direction subway access. Rooms not too small (decent space for 2pax and luggage). Clean. May a bit thin-walled but not too noisy (as always in NYC hotels, never actually quiet, regardless of the floor you stay). Good room cleaning and hotel service level, friendly staff. Lowpoint: elevators can take literarilly forever, especially during rush hours; this really should be optimized. Overall, good hotel experience and quite ok value for money. A solid 4* rating.

Love the hotel and location. Mixed service reviews - some staff were exceptional, some mediocre. The construction and lounge closure was unexpected. The elevators are confusing as the digital platform runs all elevators and there’s no cadence to where you are on the pick up or drop off list. Just takes a little time to get used to, especially during busier times.
